Meet the Advocates for Inclusion Team
Born from lived experience. Driven by purpose. Here to fight for every family.
Our Story
Advocates for Inclusion was built out of lived experience, real frustration with broken systems, and a firm belief that neurodivergent people deserve better: more understanding, more support and more dignity.
With over 20 years of experience working through education, health and social care systems, we bring genuine knowledge and committed advocacy to every family we support. We know how overwhelming the EHCP process can feel, especially when you’re already stretched thin. Our aim is to make it less bureaucratic, more human, and always focused on what actually matters: the child.
Whether that means reading through policies or challenging decisions, we stand beside families and make sure their children get the support they’re entitled to.
The People Behind the Advocacy
Rebecca
FounderRebecca is a mother of neurodivergent children. For over 21 years, she has been an advocate not just for her own children, but for many others fighting the same battles.
Her journey started at a time when neurodivergence, particularly in girls, was heavily misunderstood, often missed and too easily dismissed. That experience shaped her into a knowledgeable, compassionate voice for families trying to find their way through education, healthcare and social care systems.
She keeps showing up, speaking up, and fighting for what’s right. Because every child deserves to be understood and supported.
Joanna
FounderJoanna has lived with neurodivergence her whole life, learning to get by in a world that wasn’t built with her in mind. Growing up when neurodivergence was rarely recognised, let alone supported, meant finding her own ways of coping, masking and surviving.
Now a parent of neurodivergent children herself, Joanna brings two perspectives: someone who’s been through it personally, and someone helping others along the way.
With a background in project management, she brings practical thinking and real-world experience to every case, with empathy always at the core. She wants every family she works with to feel heard and supported, not judged.
Compassion First
We listen without judgement. Every family’s situation is different and we treat it that way, with patience and care.
Fierce Advocacy
We don’t back down. When a child needs support they’re entitled to, we push for it calmly, strategically and persistently until they get it.
Lived Experience
We’ve been through these systems ourselves. That means we understand not just the process, but what it actually feels like to fight for your child.
You Don’t Have to Do This Alone
Whether you’re just starting out or deep in the process, we’re here to help. Get in touch today and let’s talk about how we can support your family.
